Consistency Matters

As our teams have set out to “Prayer Eat” defined as going to an ethnic restaurant for 3 consecutive days and seeking intentional Gospel opportunities, we’ve seen God move.

Our big team was split into 4 smaller teams and sent to 4 different places. One of our teams has been experiencing Pho, Vietnamese soup with noodles, and was really discouraged after the first day. They tried to make conversations with their waitress and she was really closed off to our students.

Today was day 2 and something shifted. As our team headed back to the same place, they had a renewed boldness about them and walked with expectation. They had the same waitress, Pham, and asked again if they could pray for anything and this time, she opened up. She shared about her family, a bit about her story, and was thankful to receive prayer.

We believe God is not done yet! The team will return tomorrow for their final day at this restaurant and are filled with anticipation for what God is going to do. Consistency matters. Showing up matters. When people see familiar faces, it opens the doors for conversations and opportunities to be intentional with the gospel!

Pray for Pham and that she would come to know Christ. Join us in praying that God would be her source of everything that she needs. Pray for more divine encounters and conversations as our team sees that being consistent matters. We’ve been going to the same restaurants and same neighborhoods and we can sense a shift happening in the atmosphere!
