3 Levels of Servant Leadership in Awe Star
Small Group Leaders ( M.O.M & P.O.P) Ministry of Multiplication and Passion on Principals serve under the discipleship and management of the Team Directors. Each team is broken down into small discipleship groups. The M.O.M. & P.O.P. role is to manage people. M.O.Ms & P.O.Ps are servant leaders to a small group of students of the same gender. Their responsibilities include - but are not limited to - daily small group discipleship, one on one mentor ministry, Bible study, and assist in managing travel, safety, and ministry. The acronym " M.O.M. & P.O.P." is based upon two ministries of Jesus. M.O.M stands for Ministry of Multiplication which is a ministry of evangelism and P.O.P. stands for Passing on Principals, which is a ministry of discipleship. Small group leaders must be at least 16+ years of age.
Team Director (TDs) serve under the discipleship and management of the Country Coordinators. The Team Director's role is to manage people and time. Team Directors are servant leaders to the team as a whole, and to the discipleship of small group leaders ( M.O.Ms & P.O.P.s). Their responsibilities include - but are not limited to - ministry, ministry sites, Chronological Bible Storytelling, drama training, discipleship, safety, managing food/transportation/travel when the team is engaged in ministry in country. Team Directors must have graduated high school and be over the age of 18
**If accepted to serve as a Team Director for a Summer trip, you will receive a 10% discount toward your summer mission.
Country Coordinator (CCs) is the highest level of servant leadership on an Awe Star Team. The Country Coordinator's role is to manage people, time, and money. They take care of the overall management of the team in travel and in country. Country Coordinator responsibilities include - but are not limited to - safety, travel, finances, transportation, lodging, food, medical decisions, national relations, team/leadership accountability and discipleship, emergency situations, and every other responsibility that could arise during an international mission. Country Coordinators must be at least 24+ years of age and have international travel experience.
