Our hearts are full from this summer. The students have only grown stronger in prayer, fellowship, and have a heartbeat for Jesus ministry. Today, the team traveled to Budaorsi to share Jesus' love with the students in attendance at the Bible Camp. The students were overjoyed to see the team come in and everyone engaged with each other while learning the electric slide, or some new dance moves with the Cupid Shuffle! The team spent some time investing in these students' lives as they have learned this week about what Jesus has done on the cross. What a wonderful day that as we prepare to go, they have a picture of what the Gospel is to begin their journey with Christ.
Tonight we may be packing our things to travel home, but the students have found a home here in Budapest for their heart. The team has found a love for these people and God has given us the time and places for beautiful divine encounters. Even this morning, a woman in the metro station was touched by these students who gave up their summer to come all the way to Hungary to share this message of hope with her! Please ask us what God has done here, because we want to tell you about the mighty things God has done here in Budapest! Did you know that you were a part of our summer as well? We thank God for you and your prayers as you have been constant with us in reading these updates. We have cherished your prayers and ask that you pray for the people of Hungary. Pray for our country contacts that they are blessed by the time they have spent working with us as they return to their normal schedules. We will keep you updated through the remind app on our travels back to the United States. In Him, Walker Moore and Becky Robinson

We may have started this summer with Budapest beginnings, learning to navigate this city, but now this team is seeing the need for Jesus in this beloved place.
Their heart for people, deeper conversations, and for Jesus has been amazing to see. We are so thankful for these men and women of God for all that they do and for being Jesus to people all around us. This week, our group has been asked to help with a Bible School so we have sent some of our team to be with these students for two days. Both days, our team members have come back to tell us the children were so precious and are eager to know more! We are so excited to go tomorrow as a whole team to share Jesus' Love to these students and their families. What a blessing to continue ministry and build meaningful friendships! The Lord has overwhelmingly provided places for us to go to and share. The students have told us this evening, "can we please stay and do one more drama?" Even though we know our time this summer in Budapest is closing quickly, the heartbeat of this team remains the same...One more place? One more person? One more drama? One more PB&J? We have become family this summer and we know that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. The team traveled to Hosszuberek today by invitation to an English camp. The students were so excited to meet these young students and talk to them. As leaders we looked around and were amazed by how the team engaged these students. We saw our family reaching out to the needs of others. We saw our family full of laughs and smiles as we shared Jesus' great love. Our contact here told us, "Thank you for changing the spiritual climate of this place." Today we became God’s flashlights lighting up Hungary’s spiritual darkness. We can only stand in awe of what God is orchestrating here in Hungary! Please pray for this church plant as they are a growing church seeking to make an impact! One of our translators invited our team to a day camp for gypsy Children that he was hosting. The team gladly joined in this ministry tonight to love on these students and their families. One woman was jumping for joy as we came, she was so thrilled to talk about Christ in her life! Please pray for our last day of ministry as we continue to be obedient where He calls us to go. We desire to use every opportunity to make Christ known. Whether it is here in Budapest, or at home, to God be the glory! In Him, Hungary Leadership Jesus plus nothing equals everything. Tonight, the team gathered together with their bibles and books ready to learn as Walker taught on this lesson as a reminder that Jesus is with us and He is all we need. Today we took the opportunity to celebrate the July birthdays of some of our team members! The team enjoyed a night of one of our translators favorite meals, IKEA hotdogs! We have deemed this night Reka night as she has been our country contact throughout this summer. What a blessing she has been to us as we have been light in the darkness here in Hungary. We have been blessed by all of our translators this summer in learning from them, even in our attempts at speaking Hungarian, as we have served together as family. Even tonight, doors to ministry have opened for us to go and serve and share the Good News, the best news! God has purposed divine encounters in the time we have left in Budapest. We are looking forward to being obedient to His calling. Today, seeing the students focus on Jesus ministry was encouraging. They have given their all and continue to do so in hope of hearts coming to Jesus. Listening to their prayers today in ministry was praising God for the opportunity to just share. We know that God has equipped us here to continue ministry once we are back home. Jesus Ministry is everywhere around us! Please join us in prayer for the great things God is doing in Budapest, Hungary! In Him, #TeamHungary Leadership Isten Hozott!
(Our translator has explained this welcome in Hungarian is actually, “God brought you.” What an encouragement!) We started the day by going to one of our translator’s church and learned about knowing who God truly is helps us communicates to others about Him. With the focus gained from the service, the team enthusiastically stepped out to do ministry at Margarit Island; many families and tourists from all over come here to enjoy the musical fountain and extravagant parks. At our first drama site we encountered two young girls. One had seen our drama before; however, it was her friend’s very first time! A group of our students got the opportunity to go deeper with them and got to lead them in several significant steps in the direction of salvation. What a blessing to see how God is Faithful to open doors of ministry for this team to engage! To end the day we went to the home of one of our translators who graciously invited us over for a traditional Hungarian meal that she spent hours preparing for us. The students were so excited to not only spend more time with her, but enjoy the traditional meals of Hungary. The team left stuffed and encouraged by her love for Jesus and likewise her love for us. That love that she shared generously with us is the same love that the team diligently showed the people of Budapest throughout the day. God is continuous showing us how to love one another and love the people no matter the opposition we face. Please continue to join us in prayer as we persevere these last few days for the glory of the Lord! We are so thankful for your constant prayers this summer and we look forward to sharing with you more! In Him, Team Directors of the Day – Kali and Kale Exciting things have been happening for #TeamHungary! When we have reached times of disappointment, God always teaches us something new about expectations. One of our students expressed how God is taking what we expect, showing us how He goes beyond what we can think or see.
After a time of worship this morning, the team began to share with each other what God has been teaching them while in Hungary. As the body of Christ, not only do we serve together, but we live life together. This energized our team as we went to Hero's Square with a full day planned! As we arrived to present the Gospel to an event already going on in this square, the whole day of events were changed in an instant. The square had a lot of people, but this event was centered around God and His provision. While we had plans, God had bigger and better plans. The team quickly continued ministry and as they approached this park nearby, the Lord began to bring people to hear The Greatest News. Throughout the day, the Lord kept us in this place as families and groups of people from many nations stopped to see what this drama was about. One little girl wanted to stay and watch the drama, even when her parents wanted to go. She met her hero today as she is a new sister in Christ! Please join us in prayer for continued opportunities as our time in Hungary is coming to a close for this summer. This team desires to make good use of every opportunity to serve. We love you all! Even though we have only a few days left in Hungary we are torn between seeing family and continuing the work here in Hungary. Of course, we are coming home but the team had purposed in their heart to give these last days their all.
Yesterday we had taken a train to Esztergom, a small city on the Danube River boarder by Slovakia on the other side. Awe Star had worked in this city from the very beginning; there were no evangelical churches in the early days. Pastor Mark, who came about the same time we started, has labored continuously until a Baptist Church had been planted and is running a congregation of about 100. We presented the gospel twice and we got to engage with several people but the crowd for most part seemed unresponsive. An American couple showed up who have been doing English as a Second language classes. As Walker talked to the man they found out they had attended the same Christian camp as a child and only live twenty miles apart and even knew some of the same people. Richard and his wife traveled with us the rest of the day and ended up buying the team ice cream. I don’t know how ice cream seems to always work its way into our schedule, but it does! Then Pastor Mark asked if we would like to present the gospel in Slovakia. In one accord (nothing to do with a Honda) we said, YES! Most of us had already walked twenty minutes from the train station to the center of town. Now we have walk to the river up and over the bridge and then to the park in city of Sturovo. In the park we presented the gospel but this time the people hung around for conversations and one lady just looked at the team and said “I need this Jesus of who you speak of”. We were reminded of the story of when the disciples fished all night and Jesus told them to throw their nets over the other side of the boat and the harvest was plenty. We threw out the net on one side of the boat and were not catching anything and then Pastor Mark asked if we would like to throw out the net on the other side of the river. God provided a harvest. How faithful! Thank you for your continued prayers for our team as we continue to see God move in this place! In Him, Walker Moore and Becky Robinson PS we hiked over 18 miles today #TeamHungary has been having trouble getting their internet to work long enough to post an update. Praying it will be better in the morning, but for now they are headed to bed. Stay tuned for Friday's update tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and of course your prayers!
Greetings from Hungary!
The team has enjoyed a wonderful day as they have had another opportunity to explore Budapest on their day of rest. The team has been praying for ministry opportunities, and the Lord is and will always be Faithful! Tonight, the team premiered their very first "Hungary Has Talent!" show as they enjoyed learning and seeing many talents from their team members. Even one of our translators came to visit and blessed us with gifts tonight with love and encouragement. Please pray for us tomorrow as we travel to Estergom to share the greatest news we know! Thank you for praying as we continue ministry in Jesus' name! In Him, Hungary Leadership Our disappointments are God’s divine appointments!
We traveled to Eger a few days ago and a man dressed in traditional Hungarian clothes was interested in our drama. This man turned out to be one of the leaders in charge of a music festival traveling to different towns in Hungary. We have been praying for God to open doors to share the gospel in different parts of Hungary. Our God is faithful and He already had a plan before we even began praying about these doors to be opened. It did not take long for us to decide to commit to go to this music festival; God had a divine encounter in store. This morning we traveled to Székesfehérvár (don’t ask me how to pronounce it!), which was by train for an hour and we already knew God had something prepared for us in this city. We arrived and ate lunch at a park while the team discussed what they were looking forward to in continuing ministry. The team was excited to see how the Lord would use this new opportunity. This new city. This music festival. The “random” invitation we got to go there. We traveled to the town center where the festival was being held. We talked to the leader and he informed us that this was not just any music festival, but it is held annually by the Budapest Special Needs Foundation for special needs children and adults. We went into the theater where all the different groups were performing and waited off stage to share the drama. The full theater graciously greeted and applauded these students as they walked onto the stage with truth to share. The audience was at the edge of their seats by the end of the gospel presentation. They were captivated. And the team did the drama with so much passion as they glorified the Lord through it. After the final bow the students left the stage and spotlights in awe of how God has worked to bring us there. The leader then invited us to be guests at their private dinner for all the performers at the end of the day. We were delighted to have true Hungarian food!! It was delicious!! Today we saw God work through the unknown, because we didn’t really know what this music festival was going to be, we were just trusting God to take us where He needed us. Today we shared the gospel with many people and shared His love with many children, adults, and families. God is faithful and He WILL provide opportunities as we seek Him. To God be the glory now and forever! Team Directors Casey Jackson and Johnson Long |
