Drama Cross Walks Prayer Eating Cross-cultural Engagement Power Evangelism Discipleship AWE Parties in the Neighborhood & much, much more... Imagine urban ministry with a new flare. Going into cross-cultural communities in a city full of diversity carrying crosses, praying over temples, Prayer eating in places where Chinese, Lebanese, Syrian, Burmese, Mexican, and many other nations hang out on a daily basis! Learn the skills to take the gospel into any context through intentional discipleship that you can take home and continue. Throughout this journey you will learn several different ways to mobilize the church in your own community. WHAT WILL EACH DAY LOOK LIKE? Our mornings will start with Quiet times, small group meets, and then a discipleship teaching/training to challenge our hearts that we will apply with obedient skills. We will pick up our crosses, Prayer target a cross-cultural neighborhood, and go love our neighbors by giving away snow cones, popsicles, Bibles and prayer as we invite them to an evening AWE Party in their personal neighborhood. At lunch you will be dispersed through the city to international restaurants to engage with the Nations living in our backyard. Each day will bring a new adventure as we carry the presence of Jesus into parks, parking lots, homeless shelters, public transportation, and areas filled with lost people. Each evening we will reengage the neighborhoods, partnered with a local church and share the love of Jesus at what we call: AWE party in the neighborhood. Our hope is that God will prepare the hearts of the people we will meet along the way and give us back our City for Jesus! WHAT IS PRAYER EATING? Where you intentionally target international restaurants where the owners and staff are from another culture or language to engage them with the gospel. You do this through initiating conversations that build a bridge that gives you opportunity to share the Gospel, pray for specific needs and build an ongoing relationships with someone from a cross-cultural community that does not follow Jesus. WHAT IS AWE PARTY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD? The Awe Star team will take over a community gathering area in a local neighborhood and provide free food and activities for the entire family. Lovingly engaging each family, while praying for bold gospel opportunities. We believe as we take atmosphere God will provide Divine Encounters. Our prayer is to experience and bring the AWE of God to people who live far from God. Each AWE Party will include: FREE FOOD (Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chips, Drinks, Snow Cones, Cotton Candy, & More) FREE HAIRCUTS FREE CLOTHING FREE FOOD BAGS AWE STAR FREEDOM DRAMA ( English & Spanish) FUN MUSIC & WORSHIP JESTER & BALOON MINSITRY FACE PAINTING GAMES and lots more... WHAT IS THE FREEDOM DRAMA? The Freedom Drama is an 18-minute pantomime, that Awe Star Missions created as a Cross-Cultural missional tool to give a Chronology of Scripture in a story format to present the gospel in any language and culture in the world. |
