Back to Panama
Panama—land of attractions as varied as two canals, international hotels, tropical rain forests, and slow-moving sloths. A country as beautiful and varied as its people. Many Awe Star alumni had their first missionary experience here. You will never know where a Panama mission trip will take you as it leads you from the city to the jungle and to various points in between. You might find yourself on a boat heading up a river to the “Snake Village,” where you will work with Pastor Antonio and the Kuna people group. Or you may find yourself in the village of Wagandi, where, when your team needs to bathe, you pile into the back of a cattle truck to look for a river. You may find yourself surrounded by giggling schoolchildren as you share the gospel in a city school or by curious tribal people in a village reached by longboat.
From hammocks lining a jungle hut to the bunk beds of the “White House” (home base to the Awe Star family), from a remote village to a busting city, if you’re looking for a great entry point to the missionary experience, Panama makes a fantastic start. If you’re an alum who needs a shorter trip, come hone your missionary skills as you serve alongside us in Panama.
We are family, and we’d love to have you join us in Panama. Is God calling you?
