Today was filled with an intense urgency to finazlie each dynamic of ministry. Drama training extended into the early afternoon, medical bags and Awe Star trunks were packed and inventoried, and travel forms were checked and re-checked.
By dinner time each team was excited to re-gather and enjoy a time of worship and prayer. Tonight was extremely special as each team not only prayed for one another, but their Servant-Leadership were able to encourage and wash the feet of Walker and Cathy Moore. In celebration of their transitioning out of Awe star and into the next season God has for them, each team member wrote a special note of thanksgiving and presented it to them during this special time. Awe Star Missionaries will forever be thankful and grateful for the last 25 years of faithful Jesus Ministry that Walker and Cathy have invested into this generation. Please continue to pray for us as we begin our travel to Africa on Thursday morning. #AweStar2018 #TeamGambia #WeAreFamily

Today the team hit the ground running! Worship filled the air as each team raised hands in praise to Jesus for the opportunity that rests before them. #TeamGambia continues to be filled with excitement as they bond and share the testimonies of how God provided for each member to be a part of this mission. Today we learned about spiritual warfare and how to use God’s Word to effectively share the gospel. Once lunch was over we quickly scurried to inventory & pack medical bags, while student missionaries met outside to continue training in the AweStar drama. We are learning to ‘run with endurance’ through our preparation as we look to God’s eternal purpose. Please continue to pray as we make final preparations! In less than 48 hours we will be boarding a plane for Africa!🤗✈️✝️🌍🇬🇲
Today has been a full but blessed day. #TeamGambia has worked hard. They began early with Worship and Doscipleship. By lunch they were ready to enter into intense drama training. ( this is where they learn to chronology the scriptures in the local language of the people. It is our most effective bridge to the gospel!) while Drama Training was happening, others packed Medical bags in preparations for our Mobile medical clinics. Awe Star and Breaking Borders Ministry partnered this summer to bridge the giftings of a mobile medical clinic and the Chronology of the gospel in drama. It is going to be a powerful summer of ministry. Please join with us as we continue to prepare and pray for the remaining days in country.
Student Missionaries arrived today for every country! They checked in, registered, completed paperwork and headed to meet their fellow team members and country leaders. Lots of Prayer, Teaching, Fellowship and Worship happened today as we began the journey of preparation to take the gospel to the ends of the earth! #TeamGambia is ready!

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,”-Hebrews 12:1 We are so excited to be at Awe Star’s Servant Leadership training this week! Our Team Directors are Madison Bundy and Matt Gonzalez. Both are college students and served on the summer Servant leadership team last year in The Gambia. They are returning this summer as the male and female Team Directors.
