iGo Speaker Profiles Featured Speakers
Dr. Heng Lim lived through one of the most terrifying periods in Cambodian history. As a young boy caught in the crossfire of civil war and the cruel oppression of the Khmer Rouge Communist regime, Heng could have crumbled physically and emotionally. However, God had other plans. He survived the Khmer Rouge holocaust, and when presented with the opportunity to go to America, he did so. By embracing hope, working hard, and having unswerving faith in God, Dr. Lim became a successful dentist. Today he is a lay worker in a church in Owasso, OK, missions activist, and featured speaker for many conferences and churches. He and his wife Ra have two daughters, Mollina and Rebekah.
Longtime pastor Tito Sevilla now serves as pastor to the church planters, helping begin new works throughout the northern corridor of Peru. Tito, whose heart for missions is as big as his smile, is husband to Edith and father to David (now in heaven), Daniel, Loida and Stacy. He has served as in-country contact for many Awe Star teams and works diligently to assist us in carrying out the ministry of Jesus Christ in his native land.

Walker Moore is the President and Founder of Awe Star Ministries. For over 37 years he has dedicated his life to equipping the Body of Christ in fulfilling the Great Commission task. As the author of the popular "Rite of Passage Parenting" column in the Oklahoma Baptist Messenger for the past 10 years and the author of Rite of Passage Parenting: Four Essential Experiences to Equip Your Kids for Life (Thomas Nelson Books, 2007), Walker is being used as a vehicle of the Lord in producing resources that are beneficial in discipling the local church to live the life Christ has called them to live. The deepest desire of his heart is to raise up the last missionary who will usher in the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is husband to the beautiful Cathy Moore and father to Caleb and Jeremiah.
Brent Higgins is an Indiana native and graduate of Purdue University. He is married to the lovely Deanna Higgins and is father to Lauren, Whitney, and the late BJ Higgins. As Awe Star's Vice President of International Operations, he interacts with missionaries, nationals, and team leadership to put details in place months before a trip occurs. He has a heartbeat for missions and a passion for students, with whom he has worked for nearly twenty years. As the author of I Would Die For You: One Student's Story of Passion, Service and Faith (Revell, 2008), Brent (along with his wife Deanna) relays the story of his young son Brent Jr. (BJ) who gave his life for Christ at age fifteen after serving his second summer in Peru with Awe Star. The story is being used worldwide to bring glory to Christ.
Larry and Terry Singletary share a God-given passion for His glory among all people groups. They spent ten years (1996-2006) serving among the Karamojong of Uganda. Here, God taught them strategies for church planting, chronological Bible storying, and orality among illiterate peoples as they saw the gospel taking hold in this previously unreached people group.
Marti Pieper is wife to Tom, a worship pastor; and mother of Kristen, Katherine, Andrew, Karissa and Melanie. God has called her to assist Awe Star in developing and coordinating the prayer aspect of our ministry.
